Kane Calamari offers perspective on the role business plays in philanthropic giving and driving customer and employee engagement
In 2015, Calamari was appointed President of the Ace Hardware Foundation, the official charitable division of Ace Hardware Corporation. In 2016 alone, his team helped raise more than $10 Million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) and the Ace Hardware Foundation was named “Corporate Partner of the Year,” by CMN Hospitals. Calamari is also the Vice President of Human Resources, Organizational Development and Communications for Ace Hardware Corporation. Under his leadership, Ace Hardware was named a 2016 “Top Workplace” in the Chicago Tribune’s prestigious Top Workplaces report.
Kane Calamari, 49, is the Vice President of Human Resources, Organizational Development & Communications at Ace Hardware Corporation. Calamari rejoined Ace Hardware in May 2008 as Vice President of Retail Operations.
Prior to joining Ace, Calamari worked at Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, where he was the Senior Vice President of Sales for North America. Prior to that, he worked for Ace Hardware from 1990 to 1998 as a Retail Marketing Manager.
Calamari is also President of the Ace Hardware Foundation and a member of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Board of Governors. The Ace Foundation provides support and philanthropic opportunities to its consumers, retail store owners, vendors and team members to give back to local communities through fundraising efforts for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
Calamari is also a Board Member for the U.S. Chamber and serves on the Small Business Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He and his family reside in the northern suburbs of Chicago.
